The second volume in our McLaren series covers the techniques for photorealistic rendering of car models in Lightwave.
In the ten hour long project we look at creating metallic car paint, shading for tires and wheels, as well as some detailed texturing for certain parts of this model. From here we cover great rendering and lighting techniques with HDR to achieve photorealism.
Other SimplyLightwave members who's followed the McLaren series have created some great work based on it which can be found in the finished work section on our forum.
The complete model is included with this tutorial for those of you who are only interested in shading, lighting and rendering of the McLaren.
