Architectual Visualizations is a large field in computer graphics and Lightwave can be very useful for this, so knowing how to create realistic interiors is a great skill to acquire for an artist.
In this series of videos David Mitchell shows how to model an interior scene in Lightwave with windows, trim, stairs and doors. We cover different methods of modeling working off a simple floor plan, and make some typical interior items such as a hanging lamp and vase. This is a useful exercise in modeling to scale and proportion in a scene. Some of the tools covered here include Multishift, SPmove, Thickener, Extender, Info and Transform Plus.
The project is suitable both for fairly new as well as more experienced Lightwave users, and continues with texturing and lighting in the second volume of this series ArchViz Interiors Volume 2 - Texturing and Lighting where we create the photorealistic renders of our interior scene.
