I've followed this thread and your progression.
You've modeled a lot of cool things/toys!
So my only/main critique is that it is rendered/lit too dark. I could hardly see anything but black until the turn and the light of the gameboy.

I actually brightened up this version. :p

Did u use the calibration image to adjust ur settings ? it will help alot.

Awesome animation especially the end:
When (I'm not sure of his name) is playing the game and he says "Son of B" and the music covers the last word.

Also noticed you had your Tick Tock characters with the toys.

cheers m8.

The guys dancing away and at the end is called Slim, the smaller one is Noodles :D

Yeah, i stuck in my tic-tock guys just to see if anybody would spot them :p

Sorry mate - stuck in hotels with crummy wireless all week so not had a chance to view this until now...

Looks good though. Two main crits I have are:

(1) Whilst the lighting is nice and moody and really sets the tone, I kinda get the feeling that its all just that little bit too dark. Found myself squinting at the monitor trying to make out the details (although that could just be my monitor settings).

(2) Too much plain black cuts in there. The fades to black fit with the scene, but I just feel they're a tad overused/too long - it kinda breaks up the flow of the piece a little.

Getting a DNS problem here :(

Looks awesome! It's good to see another "strathclyder" using LIghtwave! :D

Okay, DNS problem resolved - nice little animation! I would be proud of it at least.

Edit: Watched again with my gamma adjusted I must admit I didn't make out a lot of the detail in the first runthrough but it does look very impressive the amount of work and the small attention to detail that you have made.

cheers for all the comments :)

Thats me successfully graduated from Uni. I managed to get a 1st Class Honours which i was ecstatic about.

Now im preparing for my showreel. I have most of it planned out, what needs to be modelled, camera pans ect..

My reel will be focusing on Modelling because i feel that is the field im more suited for. But with time and experience id like to eventually move over into animation.

I'll start some threads once the actual modelling begins. hopefully in the next 1-2 weeks :)

Cheers again
