Well actually it is both, Poly and Sub-d, yes yes I know drilling doesn’t show the once skill, however: in this case it works well! For reference go here, http://home.pressroom.com/philips/pulser/pulpic30.htm Pics are very small, and they do not show internal components that well. |

I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!! LOL :p
Hi all I haven’t touched LW for 8 moths now. I'm resurrecting this project. Here is what I have so far........ FIRE AWAY............ |
Welcome back, Nail - good to see you again!
As for the Pulse Rifle - well its still looking great! I'm glad to see this one resurrected again. :D |
Wow, very nice model. Keep up the work!
But I'm curious as to how you change you lightwave color scheme in 7.5. I mean I can edit the .cfg file and change all the menu colors and all, and it works for the first time i open up modeler, but if i close it out, and open it back up again, it goes back to the default color scheme. How do I fix that? |
Fallenswordsman! Thanks for a VERY WARM Welcome. I’m happy how it terns out, I will certainly finish this thing. Oh, I have ordered XSI 4.0 last week, freaking weird stuff, don't know how to use it yet……. At the moment all I can say is THANK GOD FOR LIGHTWAVE.
BTW, you can get XSI 4.0 for only $495 plus free DVD training video. http://store.softimage.com/store/tek...action=country My XSI was shipped two days ago. Hopefully I’ll get it by next Thursday. 3DMastermind Thanks a lot!!! I’m glad you like the model. OK, to change the menu in LW 7.5 do the flolowing Close LW and the hub (I assume you are using WinXP) GO to the user profile directory C:\Documents and Settings\”YOUR USER NAME”. Next, open LWHUB.CFG file with notepad or WordPad. Copy and Paste the following: FileRequesterServer $Default ColorPickerServer $Default DialogCenter 639 524 TimeOptionsIndex 0 SaveClientIndex 0 WindowShape 10 490 439 406 316 ToolButtonColor 108 127 144 StateButtonColor 088 107 124 ActionButtonColor 149 149 149 DialogButtonColor 108 127 144 DragButtonColor 128 147 164 BackgroundColor 175 175 175 InfoAreaColor 120 120 120 InfoAreaTextColor 240 240 240 Next, save and you are done! Important be sure to BACK UP you existing LWHUB.CFG file before you chang it, Play safe then sorry!!! Start LW as you normaly would, you should see that the menu colors have changed. Also there was a thread here at simplylightwave.com on how to do that, but I can’t fine it. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!! |
Welcome back Nail - where you been these last months man?? :D
The URL for the oroginal thread on changing the interface colours is here: http://forum.simplylightwave.com/sho...=&threadid=174 |
I have to agree with you, Nail - XSI is quite difficult to get into but there are some very nice tools there. I haven't quite got my head around all of it though and the interface for me is a little Fisher Price buttons. The plethora of tools is daunting as well, but apparently the animation tools are meant to be very good. I haven't really got past modelling with it myself yet and it took me a while to do all that registering online stuff, but I'm happy with it.
|
Thanks Nail, I found out that my only mistake was that I was not closing the Hub, which is why it would only change the colors one time and that was it. Anyway, thanks and then again, great model.

Hello Mark!!!!!!!!!!!! It is good to see you too!!!!!!!!!!
