Nice tank, what panther model?
 

Hi, i'm also working on a tank right now. It's a Panzer IV model J.
Your tank looks absolutely awesome, loved to be able to make mine look as good.

I'm interested in knowing how you made your model. I'm making mine by measuring a plastic model and typing in these number into lightwave.

It's quite time consuming though and i'm looking for a faster way of making the model. Does anyone have a suggestion?

For suggestions, How about taking pictures of the models and using them as backdrops?

Another tip would be to bevel the edges a little so they won't be so sharp.

i am not sure what model of panzer is. The box only has "Panzerkampfwagen" :(

i made it from photos (up, left, front.....)

another way to make it is model the pieces and mount it like the box says (if the tank has to be mounted) :D

I'm quite new at this modelling thing. I don't quite know how to bevel the edges? please help?

I have tried to model the tank from backdrops, but there is so much detail, that you can't get from pictures. I also need some good blueprints. Does anyone know where to find them?

to bevel polys only select desired polys and click "b" ;) It's in multiply//bevel

but i don't like this tool, so i select poly and i make a smooth shift (multiply//smooth shift) and next i use modify//stretch to simulate a bevel ;)

may be "Sm scale" (modify//sm Scale) work, but i don't know.
