:) that first dinosaur was one of the first things i learned to model

Sharp 03-08-2004 08:58 PM

yea me to altho when i fished it looked more like a bird lol

Zeeman 13-08-2004 11:37 PM

if we created the bonus scene, would that count toward the judging etc.? Or...?

mtmckinley 14-08-2004 04:26 AM

It'll help, but quality is the main thing that is considered. And the creature must be complete if an environment is present. If the dino's quality was sacrificed for making an environment, it won't help.

Ive come up with a slight problem. I don't have photo shop... :( ....
will this disqualify me? I have paint ( which is just so lame) I notice my textures don't compare so should I drop out? or continue with what I can show?

Mark 17-08-2004 02:29 AM

Don't drop out of the race just because you lack some applications. You don't need Photoshop to create your textures, after all, the applications we use are simply tools. If you're stuck using MS Paint though, I'd look for another painting package. Try taking a look at the free version of Project Dogwaffle for instance:

mtmckinley 17-08-2004 03:20 AM

yeah, plenty of free programs out there. Might not be quite as robust as PS, but should be better than MS paint. :)

Krull 17-08-2004 07:54 AM

Thx Mark Dogwaffle is much better then paint. I only got one question does it have layers? I tried the help file it was bad ( Guess ill have to try every button =) ill post some tests. thanks again.

Would Gimp be an option for you, Krull?
