Alright it's been awhile since I've posted (my day job takes up all my time), but I've finally finished my model.
Now... I'm not the best texture artist in the world, but I'm happy with the results I got. Of course, I'll probably make some changes.
Anyway, I'm in the process of rigging him for animation.
Enjoy.

I see one thing that concerns me a little..... The Biceps look a bit odd... not the size or shape but the orientaion...... It may be just me....

In photoshop I just quickly done this to show what I meant... hope it makes sense...

Yep - I see what you mean there Quaoar. It kinda looks as though his arms have been twisted through 90 degrees midway between the shoulders and elbow.

Wow, thanks for the feedback, quaoar. I appreciate the time you spent on it.
Honestly this is the first time I've ever attempted to create detailed muscle structure in a character, so I've run into a few problems.
I wanted to make a stylized character design with out so much emphasis on photorealism.
I guess I'm trying to create a sort of realistic cartoon style.
I'm also doing some cell shading tests to see if I like how he looks.
Anyway, here's another view.

No probs.... The model still looks better than anything I've done!! great work... and I hope it animates as good as it looks.:D

Locutus 25-04-2003 07:19 PM

Thanks!!
I'm rigging him right now as we speak and it's going really well.
I'm using the book Lightwave 7 Character Animation by Tim Albee as a guide for creating the bones and setting up the IK.

......I can't wait until this model is ready for animating.....
