Simplylightwave should hire you for making tutorials for the site nemac4.

for some reason your voice sounds very calm, wich makes it pretty to hear.

Nice tutorial too. I'm not liking this kind of modeling that much though. i never can get the detail that i want with this method.
Anyhow. it's nice to see how many ways you can use to model something.

that click of your mouse sounds very funny after some minutes!

The funny thing is,.. I do make tutes for this site :attn:
LOL

SubDs are a funny thing too.. very organic. I like the feeling of sculpting the mesh with pushing and pulling of points. Not always the best method,.. but mixing with hard polys works well.

Concerning the clicking of the mouse,.. yeah I noticed that too,... after updating my screen capture software.. I'll turn it down a bit.

You should have triangles at the tip of the cone, which will subpatch. If you have an extra row of polys or a cut near the tip, it will sharpen the point so, if you want to keep it rounded,. make sure the point is not too close to the cut. You can also select pairs of trianges and use Shift+Z to merge the tris into a quad which will subpatch cleaner. Howerver, I would delete the end polys and rebuild it by extending the points and stretching them together,.. then merge the points, and then merge tris.
