Hi Philip

I'm way back at part 5...but wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge through this and all your other tutorials here at Simplylightwave. All these parts to look forward to and learning from :)

Cheers

philip 30-07-2004 02:36 PM

alright, Part 65, the last exterior modeling part is now online!

I'll deal with the wheels in a seperate Tutorial, then we'll bring it all together for texturing and rendering.

Enjoy!

Endorphin 31-07-2004 10:06 AM

philip 31-07-2004 11:19 AM

philip 02-08-2004 07:05 PM

well, we laid out the plan to first model the exterior, then do the wheels, then have a tutorial on texturing and rendering before starting on the interior....

hope that answers your question.

Endorphin 02-08-2004 07:24 PM

yep...thanx! perfect!..:)

02-08-2004 09:49 PM

we want to get the outside of the car done and start some fresh tutorials before the interior. So the interior wont be for a few months

johnlayne 06-08-2004 04:53 AM

Take your time!

Good, I'll need a few months just to catch up!!!

30+ hours! Good lord man! Your brain must be mush!

Scarvin 18-08-2004 06:52 AM

is the mclaren tutorial with part 69 complete?

sod 18-08-2004 07:57 PM

No.

Tires, rims, texture, interior ...

18-08-2004 09:40 PM

the wheels will be done then all the exterior is complete then we are moving onto new things for a while before thinking about interior

sod 18-08-2004 10:28 PM

ah, ok ^^

philip 19-08-2004 09:18 PM

I have just uploaded parts 70 through 73, these cover the brake discs and calipers.

the modeling is now officially completed!

woohoo!

(just waiting for dave or kev to publish, since the new server is a bit picky as it seems :P)

19-08-2004 09:25 PM

phil, the vids in the normal place? I will do the publishing in the morning if you could get those final renders to me :)

good job mate :)

kev

philip 19-08-2004 09:33 PM

err.... dave sent me an email where to upload them them.
that's what I did.

-> final renders: the *modeling* is done, not the texturing and rendering....

but I'll throw in a freebie about rendering it as a wireframe model tomorrow :D So everyone who was still wondering if they shoudl get the tute can have a look at the final outcome.

19-08-2004 09:56 PM
