by crease do you mean the white line that goes across the eye cause that is just the reflection of the ground i was playing around with gradients last night so i will put that in today after the modelling and after that i can start adding the modifactions now that i have my copy of sasquatch :D

Sharp 18-08-2004 06:17 PM

lookin good could do with a little bit of detail in the colours a few small brush lines.

sspikedudley 19-08-2004 07:10 PM

update hands complete but still need tweaking and i just realised thanks to someone on spin-quad that the feet as they are now are not in the rest position they are in more of a getting ready to run postion so that will be changed but let me know what you think

Looking very good there so far sspike. If I had to crit anything though I'd say that the forearms look a little on the long side. Maybe shorten them a tad.

sspikedudley 20-08-2004 09:01 AM

the arms are in proportion to this picture which the rest of the body is made from but i think they look a little long because they are a little to thin
thanks for the input though i may change them later

sspikedudley 20-08-2004 10:27 AM

feet are now changed and the claws are much better now but i still want to know if they are good enough thanks well here he is

Krull 20-08-2004 08:28 PM

Looks nice ( I never had a prob with arms looks fine either way)
a lil Crit: the only thing that throws me off is the throaght /neck I like the 2D pic u supplied where throaght/neck is exteneded and not squashed in.

bullet_evader 21-08-2004 06:41 AM

its starting to come all together spikedudley!!! i like the texture you give to him. not sure about the bump map though!! dont looks like skin-texture much or something!! maybe you should give it a second look!!!

anyhow, the rest is very good!! keep on going

sspikedudley 21-08-2004 10:50 AM

thanks for the comments guys

Krull : the neck is the same as in the picture maybe its just prespective

Bullet : the Bump texture is still in progress and i have to start work on a scale texture in photoshop
a small update

Fallenswordsman 21-08-2004 02:42 PM

Like Bullet, I think the bumpmap still needs a little work, but this is coming together nicely! Greatly!

s2-speedy 23-08-2004 05:32 PM

i like ur dino, but like i sed to cyroz it looks like a raptor,i thought the comp was 2 create ur own style of dinosaur so r u goin 2 change nethin on the model 2 make it less like a raptor. or are u aloud to jsut make a normal dino. i dont know.

nice model.

ozwolf 23-08-2004 10:30 PM

looking good spike,

bullet_evader 24-08-2004 06:55 AM

good work you are doing here spike!!!

sspikedudley 24-08-2004 06:58 AM

thnaks everyone

S2-Speedy - my dinosuar is going to be a modified raptor so after i have all the raptor details down i am going to start modifying it

does everyone like the new bump map then

s2-speedy 24-08-2004 01:21 PM

ok cool. i fort u might b modifiyin it. i was just curious.

i like ur bumpmap it better than the last. lookin gud.

Zeeman 24-08-2004 04:23 PM

ur making good progress dude, but the little skin thingy on the corner of his mouth or jaw, might be a little dark... O and much better bump map!;)

sspikedudley 24-08-2004 04:25 PM

yep the corner of the mouth is going to get a complete texture bump and all so it doesn't matter about the colour now i was just putting a basic colour on there but thanks

here he is with a tongue not worked on him much today but i am just setting up a skeleton to test the deformation so expect some poses posted soon:D

bullet_evader 24-08-2004 07:11 PM

i said it before and i say it again....looking good spike!! the bump is great!! one critic about the tongue!! looks like it is not attached to anything!! as for as i know the tongue was attached to the lower part of the innermouth!! looks like its coming out of his stomach at the moment!!

sspikedudley 27-08-2004 11:59 AM

just to clarify something i am allowed to use ZBRUSH to create textures and displacement maps of my dino
just letting people know that i am still working on this and am now detailing

sspikedudley 30-08-2004 10:22 AM

just starting to get to know ZBRUSH but here is a little test now for my dino
http://www.wakehosting.com/upload/fi...den%20idol.jpg

s2-speedy 30-08-2004 01:02 PM

i think u ar allowed 2 use zbrush 2 texture others can use photoshop so i shud guess so.
that pic u posted of the texture is it ur dino texture? cuz its hard 2 make out the detail on that model looks a bit bronze. mayb it'll look better on the dino.

sspikedudley 30-08-2004 05:30 PM

no thats not my texture for the dino i am working on that now this was just a test with ZBRUSH to see what i could get out of it

sspikedudley 31-08-2004 11:11 AM

here is a little peak at some of the details you might be able to guess what i am aiming for for my modification

mtmckinley 31-08-2004 12:37 PM

hmm... I dunno, that looks like the dino's a burn victim at the moment.

sspikedudley 31-08-2004 01:01 PM

mtmckinley : excellent welcome to my modification that is what i had planned for my mosification i wasn't telling anyone though to see if it was recognisable my plan will unfold a little more later

sspikedudley 31-08-2004 04:35 PM

http://www.wakehosting.com/upload/fi...render_035.jpg

Zeeman 31-08-2004 05:09 PM

i don't know about the melted skin... but, it looks gruesome!

puppet 31-08-2004 06:22 PM

the wrinkly skin reminds me of the cgtalk competition winners beast thingy. cant wait to see what ur gonna do it though

sspikedudley 31-08-2004 06:49 PM

i haven't seen that thing i will go and take a look

puppet 31-08-2004 07:26 PM

http://www.cgnetworks.com/challenge/...sh/winners.php

i think it deserved to win its amazing

bullet_evader 01-09-2004 10:20 AM

nice one spike!! is your whole dinosaur exist in one UV?? or did you textured it in several parts???

for example: one for the legs, one for the body, one for the head and so on!!

i would like to know!! thank you!!

sspikedudley 01-09-2004 10:29 AM

thats where ZBRUSH comes in handy you paint on the model in real time so you can paint a little bit rotate it paint a bit more then export it as all one UV map back into lightwave check it out

sspikedudley 05-09-2004 05:01 PM

update on the texturing only been able to work on it for 30 mins so this is what i got
i have scrapped the burnt look as it wasn't going where i wanted it but never fear :D i have a new modification coming up very soon
