his textures are UV's .
i didn't like the UV that i got on the clothes so i used the old way (before the UV came :-) ) - planar mapping on XYZ.

Nice work! I can't wait to see the rest of this project take shape (Will we see this dragon?).

Man, you're a fast worker :)!

DeppOfField 21-03-2003 12:13 AM

wow.simplyamazing.com !!!! I love your work.

Mark 21-03-2003 04:00 PM

This is looking real good. I especially like the muscle definition on the arms, neck and what we can see of the legs. Oh, the clothes are really cool too.

Can't wait to see him animated.

tal_flint 21-03-2003 06:22 PM

thanks :-)

hopefully i'll finish the rig today so i'll be able to start playing with him tommorow.

as for some real animations - it will have to wait until all the modeling and texturing is done.

WOW!

That's what I love about this site. There are all stages of lightwave users. Many of us want to get to the level that you are, I know I do. And yet some of us are there and beyond, I know I'm not. However, I think we all get some sort of inspiration or motivation. And just when our ego's tell us how good we are, works like these let us know we still have alot more learning to do.

thanks for all the kind words guys :o

it will take some time untill i start animating him.i still have to texture and rig the dragon and finish modeling and texturing the other models.

hollaatroy - that's what's great about this - we always learn and improve.
one thing i learned a long time ago is from time to time to give myself a project and do in it something i never did before or something i'm not so good at.u'll be amazed how fast you improve doing that sort of things.

here's a pic of the almost finished rig.it works good right now and i just have to finish adding the final controls.

P.S - talking about new things - i am thinking about animating his face with a bone rig instead of morphs just to try it out :-).

quaoar 25-03-2003 09:18 PM

jeeze! even the rigging looks amazing!

Locutus 26-03-2003 08:22 AM

Nice rig! Never used Messiah before. Is t easy to use?

tal_flint 26-03-2003 01:22 PM

it's complex but easy and very powerfull.
you can play with the demo.www.projectmessiah.com

had some time to get back to it.
updates to the lighting, textures and scene

CheesEv 07-04-2003 09:03 PM

A definate improvement on the wood planks. I was worried about those on the last post. I like the way you changed the density of the grass as you moved away from the front of the house.

We know you're a faster worker than this. Where's all the cool stuff that you've been doing when not working on this!

tal_flint 07-04-2003 09:10 PM

sorry CheesEv - no cool stuff :)

i have to much work right now,so the updates will be slower, but i have all the designs for the rest of the landscape finished.

Locutus 08-04-2003 09:41 PM

Once again....you rule!!
I haven't checked on your progress in awhile....wow!
Your work is incredible.
