Hehe,,, cool. So now its the details right? I would be tempted to go and do the details maybe mussle defination more armour, the whole shabang. It will be make it more complex and more interesting.

Zeeman 21-06-2004 01:28 PM

yeah Kumar, i'm trying to add and fix some of his details. I'm also trying to get some armor finished. Perhaps a shield on his back or a sword.

Zeeman 23-06-2004 01:15 AM

okay, now i'm just too clumsy to do any more modelling or detailling. I'm really worried about putting some kind of a texture on it. I'm trying to use UV's but i'm new to it, so...

Well since he is a sort of alien i think you just might be able to get away with a procedural. Maybe a couple of them layered to get a slimy feel and look. Just a thought....

well, i tried UV mapping but i just didn't get it. Then Photoshop just started to crash... so i stuck with procedurals.

I love it :)
Is it possible for you to make a few more poses? Have him flex his muscles or something.

Zeeman 24-06-2004 01:40 PM

sure. i'll put a couple today

here's one that i cooked up.

This one is looking good i have been watching for a while but i just noticed in that last render that the area where the leg joins the hoof is a little off looks almost like the legs are balancing on top of the hoofs and not joined to them can you see what i mean
hope it helps
Rob

Certainly looking nice! You might want to stick him on some kind of floor so that he's casting some shadow - just to add a bit to the render and so he doesn't look like he's floating in mid air.

okay, here's a render that i did with radiosity. I dont use it much cause my computer takes ages to work it out. Thnx sspikedudley, i tried to fix the ankles. It was looking a bit odd. I did stick him on a floor for this render.

Zeeman 25-06-2004 01:19 PM

does anyone know how to work radiosity out faster?

A close up of the ankle and hoof.

Fallenswordsman 25-06-2004 05:25 PM

Nice - for some reason he has an almost plastacine look about him. Kind of something like a Nick Park/Ray Harryhausen collaboration! As for radiosity - sorry, haven't a clue.

Zeeman 25-06-2004 06:09 PM

true. That's y i have the Cel Shader on him in the previous renders. It wasn't working out with the radiosity though.
