red is always kind of wild, blue always appears...hmm.. I'd call it "silent", but for a cool cruiser, it fits:) id go for silver with red interior, awesome and timeless combination:)

Yeah good choice!!! Speaking of interior, I am trying to find some good photos of the interior, you all come accross some high res ones would be good to see detail.

Updates soon!!!

P.S. Would love to have some input from you guys about the Tail lights! I am trying to determine what would be the best way to do them.... how to create a realisitc effect of the tail lights, not as easy to me as the headlights.

You might want to try picking up a copy of 'Lightwave Applied' By Dave Jerrard et al. It's quite an old book now, but if memory serves me correctly, it did have quite an extensive section on texturing and moddelling for automotive effects...

Thanx for the idea Mark I will look into that. Would love to learn more tips and tricks from those in the Modeling arena.

But until I do that I am going to forge ahead so I can bring the modeling at least to an end.

However, I thought I would build some temp Tail Lights to test a few ideas of my own, just to see if I can get a good look and I feel I have a satisfactory look here.

Please note everyone these Tail Lights are not properly Modeled, they are just boxed in so I could play with some ideas.

Howver, even boxed I feel they give me a good indication of what the finished Model will look like. Dont you think? I placed a Photo Refference in this pic to compare. Again though remeber these Tail Lights are not the finished product.
I will begin Modeling them now!!! :)

P.S. I will update again as soon as I have the actual tail lights modeled.

OK I have the Tail Lights Modeled in now, though I do not have any textures applied at this point to the light section I do have the center ornament done.

I will be working on the textures for the lights and then finishing the back bumper for effect.

OK The Tail Light is modeled and Textured. There are still some minor adjustments to be done before the final Model but most of them are not visible.

At any Rate I like the way they have turned out.

Well yet another update!!! I hope I am not over loading you guys with to many updates.

Anyway, I now that the TailLights are modeled I have started on the interior area of the doors. So far on the door I have the metal section done. I will begin the arm rest section next giving dimension to the interior area.

I am going to model several of the interior areas now as I feel it will be easier to manage it now than after I get the glass and T TOP done.

I was fortunate to find several great interior pics to work from but I wish I had more to have more accuracy. I am working with limited information which increases the odds of some area of interior not being accurate.

If anyone has any more refference pics I would love to have access to them if you are willing please let me know.

Thanx for the coments about liking what you see!!!

I am well pleased with the Model, though its not a picture of perfection its a good representation of the Car.

As far as proportions, lol, I am sure you are not going to point out things I havent already seen.

After finding a wealth of refference photos after getting way into the model I found that my limited photo refferences were not enough to get an accurate representation.

So now I am stuck with, will I remodel an area, well I have proven I am willing to do that at least I was LOL.

Because of new Photo refferences I found in the modeling process I remodeled the front end completely, I then later remodeled the hood scoop area again because I accidently found a site where a guy posted some personal pics He took of this car from a show.

It showed more needed changes. In fact after modeling the rear bumper I found a great Photo from a car show that showed close up details and I found a desire to want to remodel it, and I may even yet do it.

There are many areas that need correction, some wil get that correction while I am ready to chalk some of the others as experience and better equip myself on the next Model with better refferences from the begining so as to not have to make so many changes later on in the game.

Right now I am trying to figure out areas of interior, and this is a real job because where as the exterior has limited photo refferences, the interior refferences are nearly non existant.

For instance, I can find pics of the front area, but only 1 or 2 of the rear area and both of them show limited amount of info.

I spent several hours searching for every image I could find and came up pretty much empty handed.

If I knew there was one in the area I would go take pics. But since this is a concept vehicle I doubt there are any of these floating around here in my neck of the woods.

I have already descided that I will probably Model the final version of the GT, the coupe maybe! At any rate I found plenty of pics on it and there are some in my area to provide more info to model from.

On another note, Updater, I now I have the floor and wheel wells modeled in. I am trying to determine how to model some of the areas I can not see in hte interior or have limited refferences of.

If anyone has personal pictures or knows of someone who does, please fill me in would love to see them.

Hmm... I wouldn't get too bogged down in making the model hyper accurate however (leave that for the AutoCAD engineers) ... Remember the first rule of 3D - "If it looks right, it is right"

I agree!! Not shooting for perfect, well, actually I guess I am trying to get it as close as I can using the limited refferences I have.

So far I think Its looking real good. I went out and looked at an 05 today, and my Son said Hey Dad thats the car you are modeling :)

It must be ok if He recognized as we pulled in right :)

LOL

Anyway, more updates soon.
