KrisYoung1980 15-11-2005 10:22 PM

Yeah, I thought things were going far too well for me at university so I thought I'd throw in a bit of plagiarism to spice things up a bit.... of course I modelled it :P

davie563 15-11-2005 10:42 PM

KrisYoung1980 15-11-2005 10:44 PM

Quick test render of the new version of the building partially textured...

Fallenswordsman 20-11-2005 05:24 PM

Looking very smart so far - keep going :)

davie563 20-11-2005 05:37 PM

Looks cool Kris.

There is somthing about those Bricks that go up the corners that i just dont think fit. The building dosent look cartoony but those bricks try to make it that way because they look very round. If u look at building like the 1 u have modelled those bricks that go up the corners only stick out a little bit and usually have very sharpe edges.

Other than the bricks, the textures, lighting and render itself are lookin sweet !

keep it comin

The building is supposed to be keeping in line with the style I've been using for the year, i.e. Bruce, Jackie, Noogle etc, shouldn't look out of place in it. I think the bricks on the corners, around the windows etc help with that so thats why they're there, I guess I've screwed up the rest of the model though if it doesn't fit with the bricks. Oh well, too late to start again!

davie563 20-11-2005 07:07 PM

lol, yeah, its crap start again ! :headbang:

Its lookin good.....i was just thinking to much as how it would look in real life. But if ur going for a cartoon look then, it comin along nice. The pic of Bruce in the scene does help. u can see that the styles do go well 2gether.

JohnD5000 20-11-2005 09:23 PM

Lookin good, as you well know!
The last render with Bruce's lookin a bit too bright I prefer the greyer look of the first render. I guess that's just because there's a bright light on them.

KrisYoung1980 20-11-2005 10:56 PM

Yeah, its the sun :p

JohnD5000 20-11-2005 11:15 PM

Damn sun, ruins it for everyone!
