Dude the animation is real good, smooth as well, keep up the great work!

kumar 22-01-2004 12:26 PM

Thanks man,

But I dont think so, still need to improve, well my plans is to animate a library of scenes and use the motion mixer to do the animation. Still need to do some more texturing as well.

Hopefully this is a improved version... Hmm, think that the make preview is a great little tool for lenghtly animations :)

R4s1n 26-01-2004 11:04 AM

Nice animating there, yea the second one is better but it still has that jerk to it in the left leg,
Dude is it possible for you to render a vid where the camera is to the side of the barbarian, Just want to see something :)

kumar 26-01-2004 11:46 AM

Hmm, still the jerk,,, Man,,, a smooth motion is not easy... Oh well think i will try a running one, and then try to mix them up... As for the side view,,,, see what i can do. As i dont think he will be walking much,,, more like jogging or some complex move,,,, Now i am thinking battle auras...... Or maybe model an animal to accompany him,,,, I should not think too much as i might not be able to finish it... Hehe. Ok,, i think that his body need to move along,,, and not to mention hold his weapon.... Oooops forgot that one...:)

the legs is moving better. maan, i got to learn how to use these bones. if i get my hand on points. thats the first tutorial that goes :)

Rough Idea of final scene

1 Attachment(s)
Well i know this is crappy,,, but just uploded this to show what i am having in my mind. Well for the final scene,, will be like,, running, stop to slash,,, turn around to kick, then camera zooms away. He,,, chases,,,, and sunddenly,, crouchs to blast off a leap and then hurls the axe at the camera,,, and finally spinns his way with the spikes,, pointed towards the camera.. Well you wont see all of that on this one,,,, just part of it,,, i know its jerky and needs working a lot, but this is a rough idea.

Man this isnt easy.... Really starting to respect the animators now... And this is my first time,,, so go easy on me....:(

voices3d 28-01-2004 12:21 AM

hehe, well. he has strong hands, i havent seen someone waving an axe around that since i was slaughtering chicken. hehe.... its good. and its even better when i tryed learning IK. maan, its hard.

kumar 28-01-2004 02:22 AM

Yeah,,,, i know,,, animation is not easy.... But the Graph Editor is a great help,,,, Well still get some unwanted deformations,,,, even though i did the weight mapping.... But its small so guess not really noticable.. Guess i will try some more moves,,, and really explore till i get a nice smooth motion.

voices3d 28-01-2004 06:56 PM

how about thowing the axe on the ground, and hamering his chest like a gorilla and goes in for a fist fight? :D

kumar 29-01-2004 01:25 AM

Thats a thought.. Hmm.

R4s1n 09-02-2004 09:01 PM

Any more luck on the animation of your character?

kumar 10-02-2004 01:27 AM

Hmm, all the flash work i am stuck doing,,,,, not much time for animation. But maybe i will try to texture him a tad more better.... Will see how. :(
