Dude your mech/mutated warrior was awesome, unfortunately you stopped working on it.

Another small update: making an environment for my mech.

Hi there dude,,,, any updates?

R4s1n 18-02-2004 10:57 AM

Im trying out some effects with plugins so hopefully i'll post something later on. I don't know if i'll be able to fully finish the animation. If not then i'll start a thread in the WIP section.
Cheers.

kumar 18-02-2004 01:25 PM

oooo,,, what plugins....??? what effects?

R4s1n 19-02-2004 12:23 AM

Well to start off im trying to learn how to use: C4, SG_Explosion, and PG_Melt

I have made my low-poly mech into a high-poly model since the melting option only works with subD.

Time is unfortunately against me :(

kumar 19-02-2004 02:01 AM

OH,,,, interesting,,,, cheer up man.

R4s1n 27-02-2004 11:26 AM

Ran into a problem with PG_Melt and SG_Explosion. One will only work with SubD, while the other one will only work without SubD.

I think i will ditch the plugins and work on the final render. I'm sure i'll get something finished for the final date.

Cheers!

Thats sad to hear, but will wait for your final render.

This might be my final render. Still have to add AA. Maybe i'll add some other stuff in.

I'd switch off shadows for the laser beam objects to make it look a little more realistic. If anything, these look as though they should be acting as tiny light sources in themselves.

kumar 28-02-2004 11:15 AM

Cool,,,, nice,,, but agree with mark about the shadow, and the laser looks thick for me,,, maybe try a 2point poly,,, or try to texture,,, a slight turbulance will be nice,,, a nice laser i found was in the content directory when i installed lightwave.... Man there are so many interesting stuff.

R4s1n 29-02-2004 03:16 AM

Thanx Guys!

@ Mark - How do I add a light source within each laser?

@ Kumar - I have different types of procedurals on all the lasers.

Also what did you mean by '2point poly'?
