I've never been a car loving kind of guy but this one does look pretty cool. Almost like the batmobile.

DigiMatt 12-08-2003 08:05 AM

thats one hell of a nice car, If I didnt have a family I would definatly get one of those ;)

DigiMatt 12-08-2003 08:06 AM

oh, and I dont think a tutorial is needed, if one follows the McLaren tutorial and understands it, modeling this porsche wouldnt be too much of a problem.

... Didn't have a family? If I didn't have a house then maybe I could (just) afford to get one of those (repaying over the next 30 years)... :D

Blueprint: (Source www.onnovanbraam.com)

Lets go :D:D.

Fallenswordsman 13-08-2003 06:37 AM

Hmm - for some reason in the front and back views it seems to lack wheels. Maybe we could have this as next months challenge - model this baby, best one gets one as a prize :)

Mark 13-08-2003 07:42 AM

That could be a plan... M whaddya think?

DigiMatt 13-08-2003 10:46 AM

I agree, that would be a cool topic for the Challenge.

If you compare the front window in the top view, you see that it don't line up with the side view - it's bigger. How do you solve this problem when making the splines?::confused:

08-02-2004 01:59 PM

bjørn - you have to resize your images, this is a common prob on most blueprints im afraid :(

thanks Kevin. But if you look at the attached pic, I can't see that the side view can be resized (bigger). It will be too long and the head lights matches ???

Here is a quick photoshop thing I threw together, if you put your blue prints on this top view you'll see the blue prints actually need to be stretched a bit. the car is actually longer then the blue prints show....Note: that the drivers side mirror is not in the same position as the passenger side so dont ue those as reference points. hope this helps

fusion301 08-02-2004 05:34 PM

the top pict is not with your blue prints, the contrast is blown out so you can align them better if you have trouble with the photo

Your right about the top view. But if you look at the side view it seem right, too... (strange)

Turbo-Dan 13-02-2004 06:29 AM

i would be down for the challenge if it didn't take me months and months to complete a vehicle model not counting rims/tires/interior or render
haha

anoe_nomus 17-02-2004 12:49 PM

sod:
