Splines, my first attempt at them and a car at the same time

First Test Render......
http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-682980_tn.jpg need to work on a few areas..... |
Nice to see your work here, Raja. For a first spline model this is great stuff! Is this following Lewis's car tutorial? Great choice of car too. :)
A brighter image. closer in color as well.
the renders are showing major flaws :( http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-729060_tn.jpg Actually I have never done Lewis tutorial. |
Personally Raja, I couldn't give a hoot whose tutorial you are following. It's just good to see some damn good work passing through here...
okay people, the more I look at this car the more it drives me crazy
so, on to version 2 http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-772694_tn.jpg http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-773382_tn.jpg |
Eek! Does this mean you've started the whole thing again? The mesh looks clean enough at the moment so hopefully this will be a lot easier to get on with than the original. Best of luck with it.
I am just relaying the polys of ther splines of the first version
More updates http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-818118_tn.jpg http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-818200_tn.jpg all Panel lines are now modeled |
Nice work.
Interesting to see the mesh, which looks a bit overly heavy to me. You could achieve the same curvature with less spans. I guess you'll simplify it as you go along. Less is more. Keep 'em coming. |
looks nice :D. I need to learn how to model cars. Have anyone tryed the program RealMotion?. You can add you model, car, planet, MC. helicoper and so on into the program and move it around like a game, then export it into LW and, well... have a field day.

wow your blazing through with this car
very nice |
Well the rear of the roof and the Targa (removable) top is on now

front wire frame.
been doing some clean up http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-285028_tn.jpg Rear wireframe clean up still to do http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-285186_tn.jpg |

This is coming along really well. The details you've got going on look great. With regard to the vents - have you closed them off on the inside to make them look dark? I would imagine that if you hadn't you'd be able to see right through the vents themselves to the insides of the car
Mmmm ... Looking very good there Raja.
very nice, great detail :)
the front end just looks too stretched out imo
Well, most if not all of the Exterior is done now.
Starting to work on the interior Repainted the Car please have drool buckets on stand by :D http://www.firedragon.com/~lwg3d/upl...-809082_tn.jpg |
i gotta admit that prelast render is grade A stuff, really cool, good luck in modeling the interior :)
