Hey all - well 2 pieces of good news:

We hope you guys like all the new tutorial parts that philip has put up, Many thx to you phil :)

Also I think it is time for me to give you guys some more information on the new tutorial guy who is joining us to bang out tuts for you guys.

He does some killer character stuff so this will fit right in with Philips phtorealistic stuff.

His name is Peter Duncan, check out the drawings he has done of the first character you guys will be modeling :)

Ill also post some more of his works later.

Kvaalen 28-11-2003 02:29 PM

Looks great!

Does he have a site where we can see his work?
I know you said you are going to post more soon, but I'm just interested in his style and to see the quality of his work. Not just to see an image once in a while. :)

philip 28-11-2003 02:40 PM

A warm welcome to Peter!! :D

I have seen some samples of his stuff and can only assure you: the quality is nothing you have to be worried about! Excellent stuff.

David 28-11-2003 02:56 PM

Yes I've also seen his work and well you will have no problem with the quality :)

I trust you guys that his work is good, but it is still too bad he doesn't have a site. Oh well.

He has cool work (from what you posted), I really like it.
There are somethings that could be improved in some of the pics, but I suppose that is some of his older work.

I'm looking forward to his first tutorial. :)

BTW, where does he come from? Just so I'll know what accent to expect. :D

Welcome on board SLW Peter. Looking forward to seeing some of these tutes as I'm a terrible character modeller...

Leovenous 28-11-2003 06:45 PM

Wow. I am extatic! If he is as good an animater as he is a modeler then I am booked. I especially like the old timers.

Great catch Kev. ;)

koots 29-11-2003 05:04 PM

kumar 03-12-2003 04:37 AM

Wow, nice. Its starwars character right?

Flynheli 03-12-2003 04:58 AM

Looks like Phillip has some tough competition.

Welcome peter

I think peter and phillip should challange each other.

Leovenous 03-12-2003 07:35 AM

If its anything like me, I think they'd rather see it as cooperation than competition.

Flynheli 03-12-2003 08:18 AM

I know it just sounds fun

quaoar 04-12-2003 02:39 PM

Looks great! can't wait.

infinity3d4life 06-12-2003 12:26 AM

mcewan7 07-12-2003 01:43 AM

Looking forward to this, any timescales so I know when to check back?

Its nice to know theres now more than one person making Tuts, it'll add more choice to the already bursting collection. I think Philips tuts are awesome, and I'm sure Peter is gonna teach me a lot too...cant wait gouys!

So.. Hello.

I've made a good start on them and will be begining to get them to you, not long after all the Christmas and New Year hub-bub has calmed back down again. (Or do I mean, when I'm sober again?)
