(PS. I know the elvish writing is on the inside of the ring...
however, hmm...okay, just a pretend of the ring........^^ ) |
The floor texture looks superb to me.. very nice. The ring looks good too, a little thick perhaps.. and a little to dark. otherwise great work
|

I don't know if it's my old monitor, but the ring looks to me made by ceramic and not metal.... If you want you can try this texture I used.

Very cool...
and I like his ring better (no offense) [edit]I like the neo's ring btr [/edit] |
voices3d: the elvish language wich the text is written in is actually available as a truetype font, cant remember where I found it now but I'll keep an eye open for it.. when I did a ring like that I searched the web for pictures of the engravement but didnt find any I was satisfied with so I ended up downloadning the font and writing it myself..

Oops nearly missed this one.... Ok wow looking very appealing. Is that radi.. or caustis or is that the HDRI...? Whatever it is.. its really realistic. Very nice.... Man there is a lot to learn.

hmm, i use no caustics and radiosity but hdri. so it really apply a fast render, setting AA to enhanced medium, that only cost 8 mins to render it. thx C&Cs! :) :) :) |

How do you get a "grainy" type look to the picture, i like it, makes it look genuine.
Photoshop i presume, but if not please tell |
nice one Neochris
i noticed one very little thing ..... the praportion looks a bit wierd. when comparing the size of the ring to the groves between the tiles on the floor , it makes the ring look about a meter across. maby bulk up those groves between the tiles , in fact u would only see one grove if any in a pic that close up probibly. just a small thing but thought i would point it out. nice one keep it up |

You can also try adding the Virtual Darkroom pixel filter to your scene to add post processed film effects.
