LW side effects

I just wonder if there is someone else who's having these kind of side effects from lightwave...

for example: When I brusch my teeth a couple of nights ago this thought came quickly to my mind..."why don't I switch to symetry mode, then I will just have to bruch one side of my teeth"...

This kind of things happens to me all the time...is there anyone else who has the same problem?...:)

HAHAHAHA! Fortunatly, I'm still a newb, so I'm haven't gone totally insane from exposure to LW yet... I do like your idea for tooth brushing, though... man, that would save TONS of time! I could just imagine how a "real-life" symetry mode would speed up garden chores...

Yeah, but if it was as flakey as LW's then what would be the point???

Not really with Lightwave so much although being a guy who tends to model heads I do find myself staring at people looking at interesting facial features and the like and wondering how to model them.

Yea it happens that I want to press ctrl z when I'm drawing something on paper to...:)

The other problem I have is looking at photos and thinking "the anatomy is all wrong with the arms - that would never pass as a render" - and thats from looking at photos!
Just glad that I'm not so much of a Lightwave user that I've started to think I've got my own personalized transparency setting that I can crank up so that nobody can see me. Would be cool if I did though.

Yeah, its funny; I see a lot of people and object in real life that are odd, and I think; "if I modeled that in 3D people would laugh at me." It seems what we consider photoreal in 3D is not the same as real-real.

Yeah I've had that kind of thoughts since I was like 8 years old or something...Once as a kid I was lying in the snow with my feet up towards the stars, and I thought it looked really unnatural...like someone had just cut my legs in from somewere else...

Your a strange, funny little man HIOM. :D

WOAAHAHAHAAH!!!! :D

I know, that's what the doctor said :p

morghen 22-02-2004 12:19 AM

yes....i always deam of a "u" button to press when i do something wrong :)

oh and about brushing you teeth....well i think of just brushing the first two teeth and then apply "bandsaw" :D

morghen 22-02-2004 12:36 AM

anything i see that is intersting i instantly try to imagine how i would model/texture and light that object using just lw and how would 3dmax users struggle for days just to model it :D

R4s1n 22-02-2004 03:48 AM

I think LW has been starting to get to me these past few days. Whenever i see something amiss i want to make it better by using LW. It feels as if i have LW installed in my brain. Weird :)

In my normal apps I press 'u' all the time, so much that I have to customise all my others to 'u' rather than ctrl + u.

Thats where I discovered that Im addicted. I've tried to ween off but it calls me at night.... ohh those tasty spline curves... and to tweak them mata nurbs.
