I had put my thread in the wrong place before. Oops...
Anyways, I just decided to create some kind of a werewolf/dinosaur creature since I'm crazy on fantasy and Horror. Concept is below. |

So far...
I did a little modelling and made a rough head. |
Nice looking concept! I like the armor thing on top of his head :)

I created some of his armor, just to make him look a little strong and warrior-like.

so far...
I have created his body and made some arms. Legs are underway but needs lot of work. Will keep posted. Colours are really terrible, sorry. I think his fingers need long and sharp fingernails. I'll be working on it. |
very nice! Good details as well.
Coming along nicely - and very quickly as well! Love the fingers.

I put some minor stuff in. I'm having a little difficulty with the legs, but they'll be up soon. I'm not all that happy with the tail.
looking good so far Zee, I actually liked the original fingers though:)

I got the legs in there. They're more like a horse. but i have this ref. pic. Now i was wondering if it would look good if i put some hair on him... I'm trying some texturing but i'm really poor at it.

just surface here.

ref. picture that i tried to use
very nice :) love the body perhaps you should do some details in the head tho i dont know if you want to or not so :)

I quickly did some eyes. Lot of welding to do. I'm just not able to do his gums for the teeth.
Hey - those are the kind of legs that I need for my creature! Nice level of detailing!
wow great creature :)
Looking pretty darn good there...

test render with some quick fur on his back. I really don't know how to surface him. AAARRRRGGG!!!!
wow how did you do that fur? looks great :)
*groan* Do i have to put surface textures...
actually surfacing is not necessary according to the rules but it does help in the final render.
yikes! that cool looking!
the more you are able to do, obviously, the better your entry will look, and therefore, the better your chances. :)
...........must...........do.............textures. ..........Arrrrrgggghhhhh!
Cool idea, hi there, well i think before you texture you should fix some of the areas like the wrist and forearms and hips. Unless you want to add fur later, right now looks a bit small and the mussle flow is not there. But would be cool if you were to celshade the whole thing and dont worry about texturing too much.
Thanks Kumar, I'm working on it.

here's a test render that I did with a cell shader and stuff. Thanks Kumar for the Cel Shading idea. I think it looks cool

just another pose. Not cell shaded or anything. I rigged it.
Cool cell render. :)
Thnx. hopefully if i celshade, i wont have to texture much. Saslite isn't working after I rigged him.
Hehe,,, cool. So now its the details right? I would be tempted to go and do the details maybe mussle defination more armour, the whole shabang. It will be make it more complex and more interesting.
yeah Kumar, i'm trying to add and fix some of his details. I'm also trying to get some armor finished. Perhaps a shield on his back or a sword.
okay, now i'm just too clumsy to do any more modelling or detailling. I'm really worried about putting some kind of a texture on it. I'm trying to use UV's but i'm new to it, so...
Well since he is a sort of alien i think you just might be able to get away with a procedural. Maybe a couple of them layered to get a slimy feel and look. Just a thought....

well, i tried UV mapping but i just didn't get it. Then Photoshop just started to crash... so i stuck with procedurals.
I love it :)
Is it possible for you to make a few more poses? Have him flex his muscles or something. |
sure. i'll put a couple today

here's one that i cooked up.
This one is looking good i have been watching for a while but i just noticed in that last render that the area where the leg joins the hoof is a little off looks almost like the legs are balancing on top of the hoofs and not joined to them can you see what i mean
hope it helps Rob |
Certainly looking nice! You might want to stick him on some kind of floor so that he's casting some shadow - just to add a bit to the render and so he doesn't look like he's floating in mid air.
