have you run into this problem before?

Nail 10-10-2004 01:42 AM

MAN that is one KICK ASS MODEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scarvin 10-10-2004 07:09 AM

hi Imhotep,

sorry but I cant tell you what happended to your textures.
I personally didnt watch the whole texturing tutorial from beginning to end.

Phil did a great job in the modeling parts. So I learned a lot and didnt had to watch the creation of the bumpmap so carefully.

That's quite alright. Like I said in another thread, I tend to jump ahead of the class when I'm excited. :) I figured out my problems after sitting down and watching more of the texturing tutorial.

Here's a shot of how they look so far.

philip 10-10-2004 03:22 PM

that's looking sweet, Imhotep.

But check your WheelNut_red material: it doesn't seem to reflect ATM.

promethius 05-11-2004 07:56 PM

Imhotep,

That looks awesome. Came a long way from the previous problem. That red does look funny on the wheel nut. :D

scrdude55555 28-12-2004 02:15 AM

Tires could use a little more bump, but other than that...nice.

Looks really great but there is a MASSIVE problem. The rotors go on the axle, not the hub.
I know it's a stupid thing to point out, but just being nitpicky because I envy you. lol

I think everyone modeled the wheels the way Philip layed them out. You can see the end of the axle protruding from the wheel. Keep in mind it's 3D modeling. All of these details were simply included in the wheel modeling.

BTW, and FWIW, my tire treads are much more defined now. The image in this thread is totally outdated,
