First of all i hope people actually participate in this thread to make it image extensive...

I made this thread to show off your computer and your desktop. I spent over $1500 on buying everything so it just feels right to show other people :D.

PC specs:

Chaintech SK8T800 (Not a great motherboard if you read up on it :()
2.0GHz
1.5 Gigs of RAM

Samsung SyncMaster 930B (19" LCD)
TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552U
200GB+160GB Hard drive
Altec Lansing Powered Audio VS. 2121 with Sound Field Expander

And here's a picture.

Well here's my mess;
dual xenon 2.66 Mhz, 1gig ram,
behind the door> old athlonXP1.8 & 512 Meg ram
they are DCCed together with a KVM setup
The only thing I don't like is the keyboard tray keeps getting pushed in by my belly:eek: because I lean in too close for details on my 19 inch flat panel:bow:

Fallenswordsman 27-10-2005 06:28 AM

Nice rigs, everyone. Once I get my digital camera back, I might be able to show mine, but it is a complete mess!

@Rincewind - nice to see you still lurking around - dual monitor setup as well - I would love one of those but just don't have the space.

@R4s1n - your chair looks extremely comfortable. I like your desk as well. Just wondering if the character in your modelling window is one of your own?

@RWHunt - Nice computer... I like the way you've also got everything in easy reach.

R4s1n 31-10-2005 05:28 PM

@Fallen - Yea it's the sword from my Toa Nuju character that i modeled not too long ago.

kilvano 12-11-2005 07:56 PM

Nope it was an episode of South Park where they all get ninja weapons. Its very funny. Butters gets a ninja star in his eye and rather than take him to the docs they stick fur to his body and take him to the vet.

Highly amusing

davie563 12-11-2005 07:57 PM

LOL !

U will need to bring us it in next week so i can nab a copy onto my HD :) I love south park

Well, the table is a bit to small. But it's fitting all perfectly right now.

My system is:

2x 19 inch monitors
intel 2.8 ghz processor
200 gb hd
1024 memory
geforce 6600 GT 128 mb

You guys are having some nice systems & working spaces to.

davie563 13-11-2005 07:18 PM

Very nice set up........and Desktop background :attn:

By the way, having those books lying next to ur tower like that, does that not block the air vents

JohnD5000 13-11-2005 07:42 PM

By the way, Fraser, just noticed; you have a 19' monitor?
That must be some room it's in, everything looks to scale with it!

davie563 13-11-2005 08:28 PM

lol, the room is actually tiny. its a box room that is somthing like 8feet by 10feet, and there is 2 comps in it and a book shelve, its chocka Block !

Where im sittin to take the photo is actually 1/2 way into the doorway. and the family comp is dirrectly to the right of me

the we table u can see pokin into the picture at the right, is 1 of those IKEA corner comp table, there is no space,

JohnD5000 13-11-2005 08:32 PM

lol, that 19 foot monitor must take up most the room then! :p

No the books aren't blocking the air vents, because most of the ventilations is coming from behind the system tower. most of the time my system is around 40 degrees warm.

And for the wallpaper you can click Here ;)

promethius 14-11-2005 03:28 AM

I attached an image, but did not get through I guess.
Let's try this one more time for the attached image.

davie563 15-11-2005 02:06 PM

LOL, now that is ventelation ! just wip of the case cover ;)

Du u have to dust the inside alot more thou, i recently took my Hover to the inside of my family comp, it got rid of alot of the dust.

JohnD5000 15-11-2005 03:34 PM

My case cover's often left sitting open depending on if it's been or being worked on recently, doesn't do it any harm at all!
Alot of the dust in your computer I think is down to the fan in the power suply and whatnot can draw it in! So maybe leaving it open could result in less dust. Don't think there's much difference thought!

promethius 15-11-2005 04:29 PM

LOL, yeah, I am just too lazy lately, putting the cover plates back on. Still quiet enough to keep them off. Murphy's law, every time I put them on, I have to take them off, to do something .:headbang: . but, lately I have not touch the PC for a while now, but I know I am setting myself up, just saying that.

Fallenswordsman 15-11-2005 04:58 PM

Promethius - just wondering if you have the cover off because you're plugging your USB memory sticks into an internal interface of your computer.

promethius 15-11-2005 05:04 PM

No, the USB are just before where the cover actually ends. Just pure lazy. It's just the way the case is design for the two USB ports on the side, instead of the front.

mtmckinley 15-11-2005 06:06 PM

you guys have some nice set ups! lol Mine's made of duct tape and bailing wire, I think. ;)
