Hey cgrein! Goodluck with the challenge, looks like you got a good set of words there - a few things came to mind [none of which were "seedy"!].
Cheers! priimate. |
Hey priimate,
Good luck with your "armed machine" ! cgrein |

Hey admiralbcd, here's my idea:
This old man has dedicated all his life to produce a meaningful musical instrument; one with astonishing sound qualities. Since I'm not a drawing artist I traced over a photo to make this concept sketch.(talking about "amazing fraud") The picture shows him working on his "perfect violin". What do you think? |
Nice concept, Cgrein. I like the idea and it could be very nice for mood lighting as well with the window in the background. Should be interesting to watch how you progress with this.
|
that's a very original approach to the subject.
I like it a lot ! |
thanks guys!
I'll start modeling the old man. |

the ear still needs some work, but I need to sleep now.
|
Still - he's coming along nicely and he has some great character in his face - as for the ear, I think it might need to come up a little bit - looks a bit low perhaps?
|

You are right about the ear.
I used two different pictures as reference, so the ear ended in the wrong position. |
oh my .... you're going at lightspeed...no make that super ridiculous speed.....this is going to be great....
|
Looks sweet - plenty of character in there already and you've not even begun texturing yet...
|
admiralbcd: I'm not going at lightspeed, I think the model looks more complex than it really is... ;)
mark: thanks. |

Thank you bullet.
Wires: (remember, it's still a wip) |
Nice wires! Looks like a pretty clean mesh and the model looks great!
|
Thanks colto!
I'm beginning to work in the hands now... |

I didn't have much time to work in the hands:
|
Looks cool!
|
Looks like a good start on the hands so far :)
|
yes, a lot of work to do yet. :)
|
wow - great work so far cgrien - I like your idea and the head is looking awesome - the only area that I am not sure about is the back of the head - it just looks like it maybe needs a bit more mass at the back, above the ears.
Great work mate - good luck in the challenge! |
Thanks for the tip arran, I'll check it out.
Good luck to you too! |
