and one more.... I noticed that his arm was warped from a bone.... I'll have to go in and fix it.....also didn't bother with anti aliasing....so ithey may look a bit sharp...
|
looking very-very damn good my friend ..:) , one little advice though... i know these are wip renders, but why dont you try interpolated radiosity (maybe mixed with motion blur) instead of this low quality motecarlo or backdrop only... its fast too, but you will get probably much better results...
good work |
Thanks for the tip Rigley. I'll give 'em a shot....
|
try around 0.1-0.2 for the tolerance, and if you want a smoother result, turn on motion blur.

Dem bones.dem bones........
Here is a simplified version of the skelegons.... based on Philip's set up........I kept out alot of the smaller bones because I'm not really planning on animating him. |
just a tiny bit to fuzzy (is that the word - like to much noise)?
but the models looking good mate |

this is a render using the suggested parameters by Rigley...(thanks) I think it looks pretty good..... faster too....who would have thought?
|
Definitely better render. And really good model too :)
|
Thanks buco!! actually thanks to everyone for your comments!!! very encouraging.. And RiGLEY... with your suggestion you've actually solved a alot of other renders I had trouble with.... thanks again.
|
hey your welcome quaoar ! :) nice model.
i really like the interpolated rad. for example i have created my orange WIP Head with it.. it was really fast, and its quite nice. |

I didn't change the model much.... just moved a couple of bones a bit.... Mainly experimenting with HDRI's ( which I'm growing love) Now I'm guessing that this wasn't exactly what was meant with the whole "hell hound\gargoyle" thing....and to be honest the last time I was in hell I was ready to get some pictures for an HDRI...but as always I forgot my little silver ball.....now I never go anywhere without it.... So alas.... this will be the final render for this month... Good luck all!:D
|
Great model, looks like your getting the hold of image based lighting.
This forum is missing a thumbs up face! :D |
Thanks Kvaalen!
|
nice work
|
great HDRI and model
The HDRI images works well with the stone texture, it gives it the gargoyle on a ruined castle with a big full moon behind it, look:)
great work Dae:) |
