Blueprints

Hi all, can anyone help me out please?
I have several blueprints of Cars and Tanks and Helicopters, but how do I import them in lightwave so I can then trace around the lines of the blueprint? And then once in lightwave do I use the PEN tool to draw around them or a different tool?
