99% new to 3d in general. help wanted

hey guys, i would greatly appriciate if sombody could help me here.

The only 3d program i have ever touched is Bryce3d 5. I liked it at first, but then came to the point where it was just to easy, and there was not enough to do with it. For making landscapes its great, but other then that, theres not much you can model with it.

So i had to choose between trying out 3dmax or Lightwave. I decided to go with the lightwave rout.

My only problem is, i know nothing about modeling. Is there anywhere you guys can point me to get a good start?

Thanks In Advance --Vance

Begin with the UI overview tute first, then proceed through the Coffee cup and ocean / sunset tutorials. This should give you a good grounding in LW.

After that, buy some points and work through the Stratocaster, Head and McLaren tutorials.

I'd also suggest investing in Dan Ablans excellent Inside Lightwave Books.
