After followed the Stratocaster-tutorial I found out to try making a 3D of a "Gretsch" - guitar I made for my self last year. This is so far I'me now. But I have difficulties to make the top ('n back) ached. Drag points or magnet don't work any good. I need help.

looks good so far. I haven't managed to get the stratocaster tutorial yet so can't really make any suggestions.

I solved the top arching problem: just added more polys. But I skipped that double cutaway guitar and bagan another model of a Gretsch Country Gentleman I build some time ago.

I'm nearly finished the head of the guitar. But I have difficulties mapping the white binding at the front face with a white/black/white map. Is there any "rules" how to map surroundings?

I haven't popped back to this for a while, but I have to say the level of detail is looking impressive. This project is really starting to come together now. Well done! Can't really help with your mapping problem though.

To be honest, I'd be inclined to split the top 'white' band using bandsaw pro, then turn the middle section black.
Leastways that's what I did for the model of my semi-acoustic |

Have some problems mapping the neck. I made a BIG wood-image for mapping, but it doesn't map right. I used cubic . I need some good advice.

Can anyone tell me how to get the right chrome look of the tremolo arm and string roll? The unit is made of polished aluminium. I'm not quite satisfied with that look either, or???
