Download Error
Hi,
ok, not really a download error but problems with extracting the zip files of the latest tuts (strat and tabasco). I simply can not extract the movies. "Strat_Modeling_DivX_05" for example. "Strat_Modeling_DivX_04" is ok btw. Any one else? regards, comanche |
maybe it is a download error... I just doublechecked and they extract fine.
do you get an error message when exracting (or trying to)? What software do you use for extracting? have a look here and give this free zip tool a shot: UltimateZip hope this helps (if it doesn't, try downloading again; you will be recognized and no additional points will be substracted from your account) |
Im not sure about zip, but with .rar's when you use winrar you can get errors when trying to extract files that are packed up with a newer version, so you should check out that url philip gave you :)

yep, just tried again: downloaded the Tabasco tutorial and unzipped it with UltimateZip. Came out ok and played back well.

winzip is the best by far... just had a bad download.

Thanks for all your help!
I tried to extract the files on WinXP with no special tool. As I mentioned before, there were no problems with "Strat Part 4", but with "Strat Part 5" and the "Tabasco" tutorial. Meanwhile I installed Stuffit (still got the setup on my HD) and tried it again. No luck. An error message occurs telling me that there are probs with the avi file. I have downloaded the archives 3 times (man, that takes time :-) ) with no luck. I'll go for it again today and keep you updated ... thanks again, comanche |
Hey, with the forth download I had success today!!! :-)
cheers, comanche |
great! May I ask what kind of connection you use?

ahhhhh
Nobody here but us chickens, this could well be my fault i have been re-righting the download scripting and some downloaded's may well have been corrupted while I was in the testing process, sorry about that all should be well from now on. Most likely it was simply a bad download :) David |
@philip: DSL flat - so no big deal with heavy downloads :-)
@david: thanks for the info. Everything seems to be fine again. cheers, comanche |
