HAHAHAH i was going to do a pose on it, like the readers wifes LOL

but decided against it in such a male orientated forum :)

maybe I will get a full leather shot today :)

philip 12-10-2003 11:04 AM

tell her I wanted to check it for wear. Just to see how slant you manage to go :D

BTW, I told you I was going for a ZX 9 R, but now the milly is in the race too... Do you have any idea how much the valve service costs that you have to do every 7.500 km?

12-10-2003 11:12 AM

well my first service was free, (due to the newness :))

but I hear the first one (de-restrictions and all) cost a good 250 quid... but next one is at 6,000 and i hear it going to be around 150 / 200 so it aint to bad mate :)

same as most performance bikes... oh btw mate, you wont be to proud of me - I still have a good half an inch to an inch that i need to go over on my back tyre, I can still see the shiny bits around the edge from the showroom !!!!

But after 13 years I need to get some confidence before "kneeing" it :)

got a all day "survival course in a couple of weeks" should be fun, building confidence / cornering / brakeing etc :) - i normally wouldnt do anything like this but I really feel I need a freshen up

philip 12-10-2003 11:15 AM

yeah, I'm considering in doing that too; a couple of years ago I didn't have as much to lose, but only thinking about not being around when Johanna grows up makes me want to puke...

12-10-2003 12:08 PM

yep same here dude... got to get all the training you can mate!! it certainly makes you a better / safer driver, especially with all those homicidal maniac car drivers out there today.

:)

Mark 12-10-2003 12:39 PM

Beaut bike mate... Certainly making me want to go get a loan for mine NOW instead of waiting for next year ... :)

12-10-2003 05:28 PM

get it now mate! you will save yourself a good thousand quid this time of year!!

then we can go a riding :)
