i have never modeled trees but i am sure that the trees are like that when they are withough leaves, anyway waht i was trying to say is add some leaves with Philips tutorial from the sunset vids

and for the doors and window glass its too perfect... and glass never reflects perfectly add some bump maps or something or give it some glass effects

Other than that its a very good render for your second scene,

What are bump maps?

and yeah i was thinking the same thing,

If you ask me this would be WIP. Anyway, practice makes perfect - keep working with LW. Study the many texturing and lighting tuts available to bring this to life. Also think about how this looks like a cold winter scene yet the grass is so green. I'm having the same trouble as you are with trees, but will learn them one day.

An easy way of making trees is to get a hold of one of the available LScripts or plugins to do it for you - you'll get much more realistic effects, and also be able to see how the models look so you can go model it manually next time.

Do a quick search on Flay.com using the word tree in order to see whats available.

There is also a tree designer LScript here on SLW that will work with versions 6 & 7 of Lightwave. You'll need to go to the author's website to get an updated copy for LW 7.5 however.

Yeh - have to agree with the trees being a little sparce - need a lot more detail on all the little twigs and things but as has already been mentioned, it would help if you had a tree building plugin. I think the scene as a whole lacks "busyness" as well. Seems weird to have a clinic in the middle of nowhere with only a couple of trees surrounding it.

I used The tree cage Plugin from this site, to make the tree. But i agree i didnt like the way the trees turned out, i'll have to check the settings to see what i did wrong, and for the trees,
i dont know how to make leaves

But thanks, the tips help

The best tree/leaf plug-ins I know for Lightwave are at:

http://www.polas.net/

Bit of an expense but if you're going to be doing a lot of trees then they're probably worth it.

To much reflection on the glass windows...

Hmm, well good start, there is definitely a lot of room for improvement... Maybe it would be good to break down the elements in a WIP?

The main element being the clinic, it looks pretty good but very very basic. I don’t see buildings in that much of a good shape unless they're brand new. Maybe some wear and tear, grafiti very small under a window or on the side? The textures are definitely in need of some work. The windows are so super reflective, evene if you are going for that effect I think it could be stronger if they were opaque. Especially as it reflects the unfinished part of the scene.

Have a look at siquier’s site as he’s into doing scene’s with the outside of buildings and very good at textures. Take some time to see how he composes the scene and gives the viewer something to actually take in – your scene lacks much of a point without being rude, but what are we looking at? Also note how he add’s. Also guowei’s site is pretty amazing for textures.

Good luck, let us know how it comes along.
