Evil corridor!

I just need some advice about what to add and what to remove from the scene...

I know the lights in the cealing look weird and the texturing is bad and that i need to add some disp. maps or something
(I'm allready working on that).....But other than that, what should I add etc??...

Change the ceiling lights to either strip lights or thin area lights. Have them going off into the distance a little further and add some gradient fog fading out into the background colour. Maybe make the background colour green also.

Dutch the camera slightly (that mean tilt it on its bank axis) to give the scene a more uncomfortable look.

Maybe add some doors in the corridor, the closest one being the most 'normal' with some normal, yellow/white light spilling from around it.

Add some grunge in the edges around the skirting board and bottom/tops of the wall.

mabye blood on the walls or something,
give it a really mysterious look

Ah, you dont really need blood. Though that would certanly say something. Just lots of grime. Trash off to the edges. Cig butts, gum spots, maybe some sofmoric or gang grafiti. Maybe chalk body lines. Wet spots on the floor or cieling or both. And if you want to get fancy with the lights you can throw a luminance map on one to make it look like one of the bulbs inside is out or half-on (as those pesky cheap flourescents tend to do).

I'll bet it'll be cool. Keep us posted. :)

... and don't forget that with the green cast on everything, the blood should show up rather pale and tinted black.

(that's why hostpital walls get painted green often - it takes the edge off of any blood spilt since green is the complement of red.)

I was going to correct you on the color thing Mark, but my book says you are right. :) Someday I will get used to the idea that Mark is always right. And he either wants to be the member of the month or a mod. :p

Red and Green at full saturation make purple, and in a darker enviornment, and richer colors, it would be reddish black.

But who ever said anything about blood anyways? :D
