There was an awsome thread on CGTalk where a guy was making a ship like the Nebuchadnezzar with LW. I don't know where it is now, but that is on my 'maybe someday' list.

I like the stand... nice touch. Was that a snap-tight model? ;)

voices3d 03-01-2004 10:04 PM

snap-tight model?

leroy3rd 04-01-2004 12:44 AM

HAHAHAHA! I thought I was the only person who ever did a snap-tight model! :D

voices3d 04-01-2004 02:29 AM

and i still down know what a snap-tight model is :P.

Leovenous 04-01-2004 02:41 AM

Actually, I never did a Snap-Tight. I was born a modeler, so I never did anything below skill level 2. I built the Carnevon (cardstock) model when I was 11 and never looked back from there.

That's why I like 3D. I dont feel limited like I do with real materials, even if I am scratchbuilding models.

Actually it was Voices that said anyone who grew up with LEGO's is a lightwaver waiting to happen. I heartily agree with that.

So Leroy, you may be the only one. ;)

Voices, thats probably one of the most profound things ive heard on this site, and i couldnt agree more, lol

Im living proof
oh yeah and the sentinel,..very good, much like the rest of your work

leroy3rd 08-01-2004 01:52 AM

For those who are still confused... Snap-Tight models were already complete in the box. They only required the "builder" to snap the pieces together (meant for young children or dim-witted adults I imagine).... perhaps I've said too much... :p

Nice:D
One suggestion if you have the time render a picture with the sentinels in a couple of poses...just like your reference pic on your WIP thread.

DigiMatt 08-01-2004 02:55 PM

I agree, LEGO sure rocks.. Im in the middle of building a LEGO harry potter castle that my son got for christmas.. I build and he demolishes hehe :)

Mark 08-01-2004 05:43 PM
