First Attempt at UVs
1 Attachment(s)
Well here is my first try at UVs. Its still a WIP.
|
Coming along nicely though. Just needs a good bump map to add the real detail into the skin surface now..

Yes you are right Mark, This is the color map i havent finished it yet. Still remains,,,,, the bump map,,, and the spec map.

Second attempt

Well guys i just copied the base object and started to really carefully UV and then painted and adjusted. Guess i am learning the finer points in UVs. But which one looks better? Anyone tell me. Thanks.
|
Hard to tell. Personally I prefer the newer (UV Mapped) model, as the definition in the skin tones looks better. However, this may just be down to the differrence in the lighting.
You'll really notice the difference however, when you come to apply the bump map to add the little details into the surface - UV Mapping will make the whole process so much easier. |
second one :)

hi kumar
nice work one thing i noticed (i could be wrong) is that the UV image has shadows on it i.e the actuall image has pre renderd shadows. this will look wierd when ya light it and might be why it looks a bit odd at the mo. maby take out the shaddowing from the UV in photoshop and just rely on the natural light to cast shadows. keep it up |
Looks better than every try I've made so far on UVs
