Bones or endomorphs?

Hi all

I'm trying to animate a star thats bulging and stretching and then the front of it explodes and a logo pops out?

So do I rig it with bones with wieght maps- with this situation I can't see how I could animate the star ripping the front open?

OR

Do I set up endomorphs to aniamte the whole object or can I use both with endomorphs animating the bulge.

Any advice is very welcome

many thanks

I would go for the morphs, as they tend to be easier. As for the explosion you need your object to be cracked up into smaller pieces. There is a plugin called C4.... that cracks your object. Kind of lost the link to that... But you can try to search for it. You should use bones if you want the tips of the stars to move and mimik walking or movement. The front of the star should be endomorphed for the bulging.

Good Luck

You can get the C4 toolkit from here:
