Low poly game modeling

Anyone know of good tutorials for modeling humans in low poly for games ? Maybe even a good site that handles this issue. It dosent have to be particular for LightWave, but would be best, as its the only modeling program i use (Im not a rich bastard who can afford diffrent modeling programs :D)

Thx in advance!

I would have thought that box modelling is the way to go although I can't remember seeing any decent full-body tutorials related to this. With low poly modelling you're heavily reliant on textures giving you a lot of details so I think you're probably going to have to experiment with what you can get away with using textures only. Best of lcuk.

Ive been looking for something..
Ive seen the tut on newtek's site, and it dosent work. Subpatching is no good for games.
I found this site as the closest

Extender is my friend at the moment :D

Have fun looking for a way to convert your models to the proper format. Most mod-friendly games require you use 3DSMAX.

There is a trend in new games that you model very Highpoly ones. For the games you get a lowpoly model calculated by a software and a bumbmap to keep the detail i.e. you see that in Doom 3 and FarCry (http://doom3.ingame.de/spiel/doom3/gegner/commando.jpg / http://www.farcry.de/ss/pc/sshot9.jpg).

Ah yes,,,, think that is Normal Mapping. There should be a tutorial around somewhere. Also saw an episode on Discovery about bumps,,, The tires are just like smooth and the ridges and stuff are all bump maps. A very cool idea.
