BUYING LW
 
a freind gave me a nonlicensed version of 7.0.i've steadily been learning it and love it.now,i must be honest! i want to buy lw.
what would be the cheapest route for purchase?
it'll take me a year to afford lw8.
can you offer any suggestions.

I would say that get the educational non comercial version. It comes with great items to get you on track.... But i would rather save a little bit more and get the commercial one.... As you can later make money out of your projects. But thats my opinon on it i guess.

only the best will do.it really bugs me when i,m introduced to somthing great and stop by some limitation.i had this one on a cd
since last year(02) and didn't even know it.
put it in and it worked.
i been messin with BRYCE all that time. although bryce did give me a decent intro to 3d.put together some good stuff.
look in 3dcommune.com in the galleries\ Bryce\MONFOODOO.

Well have you looked at spline gods site, i will surely get his stuff if i had the chance, he has great things on his site. www.splinegod.com But for the prices you can check over at newtek's website.

Lightwave price depends on where you live and what route you take to order it.

If you're in the USA, then drop by www.newtek.com and see about their pricing on LW from there. The current price is $1595 which includes a boxed copy of DFX+ (a fantastic compositor worth around $1500 in itself) and a free download update to Lightwave 8 when its released later this year.

They also have an international dealer locator from their main sales page that will let you check out what you can also buy locally.
