Multiprocessor Settings?
Hi all.
Does anybony knows how to set Lightwave renders for a dual processor machine? I know LW can be optimized for this settings, but I dont know how:confused: Is it possible to turn this as a default setting? Tnx |
I believe its the 'Multithreading' option under the render options panel.. this should also be saved when you exit lightwave so next time you start it up it should still be on 2 or whatever you set it to..
If Im wrong about this, please correct me someone. good luck Matt |
another thing, Ive read some posts about that you might want to try a higher setting than you actually have.. ie. if you have a 2 processor system, try setting the multithreading option to 4. That has made some improvement for some people I believe.

Thanks Matt
I will try this and tell you latter. |

I will test that options in multithreading do find which one is better.... Tnx again |
lucky you!! how do you like the G5?
|
AMAZING!!!!
It is a veeeeeeeeeeery fast machine. I put 2Gb of RAM so LW is running so nicelly... Comparing with my older G4, it is another machine. Works will be done much more faster... |
I have Dual Processors and 4 threads as opposed to 2 gives me mabye a 5%-10% incress in speed .

It works nicely!!!
I have tested all otions and I realized that 8 works better for me. It increased render speed in something like 15%.... Thank you all!!! |
