I just did the label, and I hate the top cap.

The orange cap would probably look better if it were a separate and more detailed mesh rather than two attatched surfaces.
|
Nice model and render there, i would have to agree with rich about the attachment of the orange cap.
|
I mentioned how much I disliked the cap.... I just don't understand how it looks like that it is one object only....
There are the tube, cover with details of the glue holes and the orange cap. But it came so bad that I will not try to fix, but re-do the cap again... I really apreciated the comments.... And I will post the new cap tomorrow. Thanks again. |
Well, a displacement map or bump will be nice,, if you are not going to adjust it in the modeller. Overall i like it,,,, except,,, once again the cap. Maybe another one,,, with glue coming out,,, slightly squeezed will be nice..

Yep... And flip that rear label so its the right way round !

Holy Cow Mark, what eye you have.....
Thank you ... :) :) :) |

I think the cap looks ok form wise now, but I'm having hard time to add the treds to it. The real one is not smoth like that.
|
Looks good, Claudio. I don't think we have this stuff in Blighty although I do remember something called Cow glue which I could spend hours peeling off my hands.
I like the subtlety you have with the labels rather than having the writing plastered directly onto the bottle. Nice touch. |
To have this illusion on the lable I did use a thin black line at the adge on photoshop.

Yep. Looks real good. I know what you mean about the cap though. If I remember correctly from the last time I saw a glue bottle like that, what I'd do is to make the cap from a tapered disc having 2x the number of points as ridges on the physical cap.
In extruding it, you'll probably have a couple or three extents to get the vertical curvature, so I'd simply select the inner every other point at the base, and shift them in slightly to give something like I've got here: |
Good explanation Mark.
Although he could just watch how Phillip does the knobs on the Stratocaster Tutorial. |
Great Claudio... I like it, Greate work
