what is the best fps to use ,default 30 or 24.this scene will most likely end up on a dvd.also any tips on file output for best quality. test renders i used avi.looked pretty good till i converted to mpeg2.(used tmpge) thanks scott |
Well, I tend to use 25 fps because:
(a) I live in Europe and that's as close as is necessary for PAL (b) It's what's used as a standard film rate (c) It's easy to calculate with - you just need to count in quarters to convert between seconds and frames. For output, I tend always output to uncompressed 32bit TIFF sequences - at double my final resolution if I can afford the render times - usually with less AA than I would rendering at 1:1. That way, I can get a nice soft look when I downsample to final video. My final movie render is usually recorded to uncompressed AVI, and I then let the default settings on Adobe Encore do the rest. Takes ages to render, but works. |
