DAMN o_O. It looks awesome. So many points :D. How do you align all these points so perfectly?

What do I have to configure, that these shadows are so smooth and the object looks like real plastik?

Wow! Nice detail!

It's called global illumination (GI). There is a good tutorial at the Lightwave3d.com site that will show you haow to do it.

satoh 05-02-2003 02:47 PM

GI

For this case, I put light intensities to 0% (for every light)

Next, active "Enable Radiosity" and....... ;)

Kvaalen 05-02-2003 03:26 PM

Did you not make a dome around it (To use the luminosity as a source of light)?

satoh 05-02-2003 03:32 PM

no.....

you refer a dome made with skytracer?
made with hdri?

No, look here:

This is the tutorial that tought me about GI along time ago, but I barely use it since it takes sooooooo long (I prefer fake GI). ;)

satoh 05-02-2003 05:53 PM

long time..... i know......

how you fake GI?
I know a fake to fake GI in a room using raytracin' but.... how you do in a landscape??

I use a classic 4-lights system (main light, back light, fill light and cenital light)

Kvaalen 05-02-2003 06:39 PM

To make fake GI you just need to make a sphere of lights (it's very simple with LW 7.5).
Then you can just save the scene and when you want to add it to another scene, just go to File>>Load>>Load items from scene, and choose yes when it asks you if you want to load lights too.
