Welcome, Quaff! The car looks great. What I would consider doing though is adding treads to the tyres and adjusting the texture on the door mirrors - the blackness of them makes them look out of place and almost impossible to spot. I'm no great shakes at textures myself though, all I can see is what is wrong but I can't really give you information on how to put it right again. Sorry!

There's some cool automotive texturing hints and tips in the book 'Lightwave Applied Version 6.5 & 7'.

Thought I would find this eventually: Tutorials for tyres and wheels!

The car looks great...you can try putting some "ribbed" texture to the directional and front lights...considering the model itself...maybe you can spread front wheels further apart, there is still space under the chasis...keep up the great work!

The model is really good

newest render....not finished but i think it turned out ok....

just an area light, no radiosity or hdri ......although that is my next step after modeling the tire treads and adding some texture to the head light lenses

thanks for the feedback everyone

beauty mate, glass is tad grey - use a reflection image?

Fallenswordsman 26-02-2004 07:40 PM

Looking a lot better than your previous attempts. I think the lights are letting it down although you have mentioned this as an area to be improved already. Don't think the Batman camera angle is working that well either, but that's up to you.
