Charcter: Gun Slinger
Hi,
Timed myself for 3 hours and this is what I came up with. I shall do the same each night untill I can make a character in 3 hours flat, hehe. 'Child Roland to the Dark Tower Came.' Robert Browning. This character is inspired by Stephen King's 'the Dark Tower' series of books. http://www.btinternet.com/~daveytheg...Slinger_01.jpg Best Wishes daveythegravy |
Looks awsome so far...box modeling?

Hi, H.I.O.M.
I am using Lightwave, and Sub D modeling. Thanx for Ur reply man. More progress tommorow at the same time. Had another 3 hour session tonight. I am going faster than usual, so I think that in time I shall bring my modelling time down dramaticaly. Going to keep goint every night. :) http://www.btinternet.com/~daveytheg...Slinger_02.jpg Best Wishes daveythegravy |
Those are pretty impressive given your 3 hour limit. Any reason for three hours? Why not four, or two? Just wondering if there's a reason behind it. :) Also, you never really answered the box modeiling question (or maybe you did... since I'm still a newb, maybe I just misunderstood)... Sure you use subdivision surfaces, but do you start with a box?

Hi,
Sorry, I was tired when I typed that. I used deatil out(Point by Point), not box modelling(Detail in). I am starting at 3 hrs, coz that is how a buddy of mine started and worked his way down to 15 minutes per model. thanx for posting on here. Maybe we can get a trend going, hehe. Hi Lightwavers,
Well, Ive been side tracked with the RHF model, but shall get back on track with this character tomorrow when the fairie is rigged. I plan to go back over my older characters each morning till they all finished, and work on new characters in the afternoon and evenings. I should have atleast 9 characters rigged and finished at the end of it :D Here is my Gunslinger progress that I forgot to post: http://www.btinternet.com/~daveytheg...Slinger_04.jpg More tommorrow.
