Production : Start - Finish.. need help filling the gaps.

First i would like to say hi to all as this is my first post.

I have aspirations of producing a small animated film, but there are several things that i need to understand.
I dont understand how to export a scene from lightwave so i can view it in a media player of some sort.
So i would like, if anyone knows the steps and tools used to get from an idea to a fully rendered vidoe clip.
1.Concept
2.Artwork of concepts
3.Modelling objects
4.Create Scences
After this i am lost, so any help would be great.

Thanks Aaron (OzWOlf)

Welcome to the forums.

A good way to get up to speed with the steps of making a film is to get Timothy Albee's book, CGI Filmmaking: The Creation of Ghost Warrior, available from Amazon, and probably all good book stores. You can find it at Amazon here - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

It is excellent, and goes through all the steps of making an animated short, from pre pre-production to distribution.

Also, if you need help with modelling and creating scenes, SimplyLightwave is the best place to be! There are plenty of free tutorials to have a go at, and the others (that you need to buy) are also excellent.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

To actually learn how to use LW, you also should consider getting a copy of Dan Ablans excellent 'Inside Lightwave' book - its everything the manual should have been...
