Now, I have this problem:
The images that I have in JPG have a white background. When I project the sequence of images on the object(s), how can I make the white background of the images transparent, so that only the 'image' in the center of the JPG is seen on the surface?

I am trying to create a type of crowd scene with animated textures on flat planes, but the white background of the images gives it away that they are not polygon models.

Glad to hear it worked. If there is an alpha sequence that goes with your image sequence you can use it as an overlaying layer set to alpha to clip out the white. If not you will have to create an alpha image for every frame which could be a challange in photoshop especially if there is many frames. If the backround is perfectly white, in photoshop it wouldent be much of a challange to make a selection of the white fill with black and fill the image part with white. If there is lots of frames this could take a while. If the shape of the projected image is the same dureing the entire sequence you could use one alpha image to clip the white out easly.
