Working on a new character, a sort of Jekyll and Hyde bunny. This is of course the Hyde bunny.
This is a test render for the fur still has a bit of tweeking. And the modeling is still being worked on. The head is close to done, and I want to still make visible rib lines and ab muscles.
Comments and crits very welcome.

Cool I like the hair on hos body nice touch. Cant wait to see his head.

Heh - I'm looking forward to seeing him change from cute fluffy bunny to evil psycho bitch hare. You are planning to animate the transition aren't you?

BarkingTreefrog 18-04-2004 06:28 PM

Johnny - thanks. I am planning on adding some long hairs on his elbows and around his wrists and ankles.

Mark - yeah I am planning on doing the animation. But I am not sure exactly the best way to go about it. I was thinking endomorphs, but I think that may be too much work. So then I thought about just doing some close up shots of parts changing, kind of like in the old Incredible Hulk tv show. Is there a better way?

By the way, I have the head pretty much done, just haven't had a chance to render it yet. I hope to have an update in the next few days.

Lol - yep like the good old Hulk, you could just do a close up of the eye, change its colour and make it look all Ragey, then zoom back to the big ugly bunny.
And his back is just begging to be made ultra hairy!
Nice look, Barking.

Or possibly try for the look they used in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen when Jeckyll and Hyde changed by having certain parts of the character bulge out (using endomorphs - just scale parts of the model).

Doing this, you can simply distort parts of the model and have the camera snap to extreme close ups for a few frames whilst quietly switching models in the background. (Perhaps have the other model in on a 100% dissolve tracking the motions of its sibling - that way, during the change you can also flash-swap them for small instants)

Both good ideas. I will look into it when I get closer to the animation part of it. Thank you both for the ideas. :)

And here is the lastest update from Thursday night.

I still want to add some claws to the feet and obviously need to add the other eye. But I think I am close to done with this one.
