lighting the scene

does the tutorial include how to light and render the scene as it looks in the picture?

philip 08-05-2004 09:49 AM

not exactly; in the tute there's a different camera angle and the lighting would have to be tweaked to match. But once Exposée II is out in the shops I will add a video on that. Please understand that before this time I wouldn't want lots of clones out there :)

its ok if its not the same, i just want to learn about realism in lighting and rendering . even if its different as long as its realistic ,which im sure it is because all of youre stuff is. the main reason i want to get this tutorial is for the very realistic rendering of it. would you mind if i saw a pic of the actual render of this tutorial? if so my email is heller_kevin@hotmail.com either way thanks kevin

If you do a search for strat in the finished work or WIP forums. You will see what results people have got from using the tutorial.

Here is the one I finished. Its a great tutorial, I learned an absolute ton going through it.

Exposée II

Can you tell us more about Exposée II ? or a point in the right direction? I searched around for it and couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Not yet, although they are taking pre-orders. I've already ordered mine. Shouldn't be long now though! And I think if you have pre-ordered you can pick up your copy at Siggraph.
