Camera positioning

I find it really easy to "fly" around my scene in perspective mode and to look at things from cool angles... if only there was a button to convert my current perspective position/view into a camera position/view keyframe.

Anyone know if this is possible?

cheers
Pete

mmmh i dont know if you can convert your current view to a camera view but i think this will work to:

set your Perspective view to Camera View, then open the Motion Options for the camera and set Target Item to the current object!!
now your camera view will be focust on that object and you can fly around with your camera around the object!!

dont try to rotate the camera when targeted at a object, because that will not work!!

EDIT: oops i put in some dutch words in my text :P

If I get you right, take the camera perspective and make the camera your active object, then mess with the mouse and alt+shift (going on old memory) and I think that will do it for you. You are still limited to the 3 asix's for movment. I think the only way around that is what bullet_e said.

i got to try that one out thanks for the tip :)
but it's strange that this option doesn't exists with a button of some sort tho. The perspective view is great for finding a good shot.

Yep, and I like going into the lights perspective also. It is amazing how bad I am at aiming lights without it.
