modeling, why ???

Hi, ive used many other 3D apps, and ive only been using lightwave for 2weeks now, the thing that really annoys me is the modeler, why is it when u rotate an object or a face its invisible from the other side, this makes it very hard to see how the shape is, if it keeps vanashing :(

plz help, :p

cheers

Then try modelling in Wireframe shade mode (or just plain wireframe).

Lightwave's surfaces are single sided in order to speed up the computation of both the mesh in modeller, and the final rendered product.

You can also make your surface double sided in the surface editor.

yeah i know what you mean. I'm used to some basic solid modeling so surface modeling is quite a difference. Like mark said you can switch between different views. After a while it's not an issue any more ;)

if its that hard make the default surface double sided like mark said

click surface editor
towards the bottom is a tick box, double sided

Note:
you need to have an item in your drawing to chose the default surface attributes.

Yeah when I am modeling something and everything is default surface I will use double sided till I am done
